Mo and Mum
Mo and his Mum, Mali, live in the forest.
One day they go to the waterfall for a drink.
The rocks are slippery and dangerous for a little elephant.
Disaster, Mo slips and falls into the water.
He is very frightened “Help, Help me Mommy” he shouts.
“Mommy, Mommy, Help me………………….”
Mali tries to help him but cannot reach as the water is
stronger and running faster and faster.
Mali is screaming “Mo, Mo” as the water carries him away
until she cannot see him.
She cries and cries for a long time….……….
Mo wakes up on the river bank where the stream is now gentle,
the forest is green and the sun is shining.
Mo thought he was dreaming and looks around for his Mommy.
Mum,Mum, where are you he cries……………
But she is not there.
He walks into the jungle looking for something to eat.
He is alone and frightened and hungry.
“Where do you come from ?” he hears.
A new voice.
He looks around and there is a beautiful new friend.
“My name is Mimi, I live here”.
“You look hungry says Mimi, come to eat with me and with her
trunk she gives him some tasty grass.
They eat until they are full and go to the river to drink.
Time passes and Mo and Mimi are happy together.
Soon they have a baby but Mo never forgets his Mum.
One day, Mo, Mimi and their family go to the waterfall where
Mo fell in and there waiting for him is his Mum.
Everybody is very happy and Mali is so pleased to see her
new grandchildren.
